RED 69 was the winner of BEST STOP MOTION ANIMATION at the July 2022 FEEDBACK ANIMATION Festival.
1. What motivated you to make this film?
It was a script that had haunted me for a long time. This rarely happened and I always thought about writing it.
2. From the idea to the finished product, how long did it take for you to make this film?
I made this movie during the Covid pandemic and it took me almost a year to finish it. On december 21.
3. How would you describe your film in two words!?

4. What was the biggest obstacle you faced in completing this film?
I made the whole movie absolutely alone. from script to final editing, and stop motion is a very difficult job. I had to learn a lot during the process. Some I managed to solve, others I abandoned out of ignorance.
What were your initial reactions when watching the audience talking about your film in the feedback video?
it was wonderful. It’s the first time I’ve heard unknown people talk about my film. This is a great difficulty for filmmakers who make short films, especially in animation. This Feedback Festival format is incredible. I would love to use that link you sent me.

6. When did you realize that you wanted to make films?
Living off stop motion in Brazil is not possible. I’ve always written a lot, but my other profession didn’t allow me to dedicate much time. Now I can only do stop motion.
7. What film have you seen the most in your life?
I don’t know, there aren’t any movies I’ve seen over and over again. I like science fiction, “B” movies, weird movies…
8. What other elements of the festival experience can we and other festivals implement to satisfy you and help you further your filmmaking career?
I really enjoyed the fact that I received these feedbacks. I believe that if festivals directed their results to producers or funders in this segment, it would help a lot too, but I confess that I have no idea how to do that.
9. You submitted to the festival via FilmFreeway. How has your experiences been working on the festival platform site?
It’s been great, especially finding people talking about participating films. I prefer these pages.
10. What is your favorite meal?
I don’t have a specific food. but i like Italian food best.
11. What is next for you? A new film?
Yes, I’m already working on the next movie. It’s called FRANK, I’ve already shot some scenes. It’s about a robot who wants to build a robot girlfriend.
