What is your screenplay about?
This one-page screenplay happens in a college dorm room. A pair of girl best friends are reaching the end of an emotional conversation, and their makeup is ruined from their tears. Finding it funny, they decide to commemorate the event by taking ugly photos together.
Why should this screenplay be made into a movie?
I believe it showcases the closeness and emotional arcs that female friendships have. Women feel safe and vulnerable together and often that closeness leads to an ability to take even serious situations lightly.
How would you describe this script in two words?
Versatile laughter.
What movie have you seen the most times in your life?
The Goonies definitely.
How many stories have you written?
Counting even the shorter ones, at least 40 or 50? I’m still in college, so I’m working up to the big numbers!
Apart from writing, what else are you passionate about?
I love food. I think it’s my love language. It’s an art that you can actually experience – not just hear or only see. You get to interact with it.
What is your favorite meal?
Pasta. But fresh pasta and homemade sauce. So simple and so satisfying.
What has been your experiences submitting to the FilmFreeway submission platform site?
I love FilmFreeway! I have submitted several projects here. Not all of them are winners, but that’s just how it goes. This platform is super easy to understand and it’s really helpful to see the progress in which your submission is at.
