 1. What is your screenplay about?

My screenplay is about 2 gay men from completely different backgrounds (geographically, religion, age, ethnicity, world viewpoints, politically and the acceptance of their own gayness) who fall madly in love and go about changing the course of their world.

3. Why should this screenplay be made into a movie?

It’s a powerful film about how people perceived as powerless in this power driven mad world of ours can actually effectuate change and make a real difference.

4. How would you describe this script in two words.

Unpredictable, believable.

6. How long have you been working on this screenplay?

6 years.

7. How many stories have you written?

This is my only and 1st screenplay.

8. What is your favorite song? (or what song have you listened to the most times in your life?)

Diana Ross’ version of HOME from her movie the Wiz.

9. What obstacles do you face to finish this screenplay?

A marketing campaign to attract financing.

10. Apart from writing, what else are you passionate about?

Staying completely sober for 32 years and helping others achieve sobriety.

11. You entered your screenplay via FilmFreeway. What has been your experience working with this submission platform site?

They’ve been very helpful. When I’ve needed their assistance in understanding the world of film festivals and technical assistance with script submissions their reply has always been prompt and helpful. They have a vast selection of film festivals to chose from.

12. What influenced you to enter this film festival? What were your feelings on the initial feedback you received?

Generally my script receives a much better response from LGBT Film Festivals. It appears that mainstream film festivals aren’t as responsive to LGBT scripts and films and they seem to acknowledge more established and entrenched scriptwriters. Regarding the LGBT Toronto Film Festival you have been the most responsive to work with. I paid close attention to your feedback. I submitted 3 times, read each feedback and made changes to my script and resubmitted. The LGBTTFF made my script better and expanded my skills as screenwriter.
