Get to know the filmmaker:

1. What motivated you to make this film?
The main reason was the possibility to collaborate with Florania, the emerging fashion brand that have produced the short film together with our agency Dalk. Me and Flora, the super talented mind behind Florania, were very connected since the first call we did: she wanted to promote her new collection inspired by sea fantasy voyages, i wanted to make a short film inspired by “One Thousand and One night”, one of my favorite books.

2. From the idea to the finished product, how long did it take for you to make this film?
I started the writing process in January, we finished the post production and published the short film in September

3. How would you describe your film in two words!?
A dream

4. What was the biggest obstacle you faced in completing this film?
To guide the coherence of my direction and storytelling hand in hand with the budget we had

5. What were your initial reactions when watching the audience talking about your film in the feedback video?
Happiness. I was surprised to see how the audience appreciated some of the aspect of the film like writing, music, settings and the mood in general. It was almost exactly what i wanted to evoke

6. When did you realize that you wanted to make films?
When i was a child i love to make edits with my family old videoclips. To find the perfect music, language and balance between the clips was an obsession since then.

7. What film have you seen the most in your life?
Jurassic Park by Steven Spielberg

8. What other elements of the festival experience can we and other festivals implement to satisfy you and help you further your filmmaking career?
Maybe implementing more live or online events with directors, producers, cinema lovers

9. You submitted to the festival via FilmFreeway. How has your experiences been working on the festival platform site?
Amazing

10. What is your favorite meal?
Ravioli al brasato

11. What is next for you? A new film?
I’m working on two new branded content short film with my agency and a fictional short film set in Milan
