Get to know the filmmaker:

1. What motivated you to make this film?
There’s nothing more fun than making movies.

2. From the idea to the finished product, how long did it take for you to make this film?
Ian Gill had the plot of the story for over a year. From writing to post production, four months.

3. How would you describe your film in two words!?
Intensely fun

4. What was the biggest obstacle you faced in completing this film?
Securing an appropriately dated car for the final scene. Would only wish that anxiety on my worst enemies.

5. What were your initial reactions when watching the audience talking about your film in the feedback video?
I couldn’t get the shit-eating grin off my face.

Watch the Audience Feedback:

6. When did you realize that you wanted to make films?
After watching the Life of David Gale.

7. What film have you seen the most in your life?
A Christmas Story. The “soft glow of electric sex” is forever in my mind.

8. What other elements of the festival experience can we and other festivals implement to satisfy you and help you further your filmmaking career?
In person is a more attractive approach to presenting films with a festival.

9. You submitted to the festival via FilmFreeway. How has your experiences been working on the festival platform site?
This was my first film festival! FilmFreeway has been fantastic.

10. What is your favorite meal?
One shared with friends

11. What is next for you? A new film?
A modern take on the Spaghetti Western genre
