1) What is the theme of your poem?
The theme of my poem is the passing of a loved one around late springtime/early summer when everything is coming to life again and blooming. It is about death and rebirth, loss and hope, and the fact that true beauty never really dies.
2) What motivated you to write this poem?
Attending the funeral of a family member on a beautiful sunny day when nature was beginning to bloom, and looking back at the funeral on another gorgeous day and recognizing that the lady in question was beautiful, and with her growing family remembering her she would always be alive in their hearts.
3) How long have you been writing poetry?
I have been writing poetry since I was about seven years of age.
4) If you could have dinner with one person (dead or alive), who would that be?
I would love to have dinner with my father who passed in 2005.
5) What influenced you to submit to have your poetry performed by a professional actor?
I felt it was an important poem about a certain time in my family history and wanted to hear what it would sound like being read by a professional actor.
