1. What motivated you to make this film?

During covid period in China we had been locked down and obliged with highly restricted policy , seems everyone is under a huge hand , that makes me want to express that kind of feeling .

2. From the idea to the finished product, how long did it take for you to make this film?

It took 2 months on the initial story and 3 months for the pre-production , but it takes almost 18 months for the post production

3. How would you describe your film in two words!?

Prophesy , Humanity

4. What was the biggest obstacle you faced in completing this film?

Actaully it’s the first time I step into CG animation and VP tech in 2021, unreal engine 4.26 really teach us a lesson in this project .

5. What were your initial reactions when watching the audience talking about your film in the feedback video?

Every step we took , it really worth the effort

6. When did you realize that you wanted to make films?

My grandpa was a film producer in the 1980s , I became a producer after my medical school , so it’s a call from my blood .

7. What film have you seen the most in your life?

I like sci-fi topic films , I like to dream about future or human destiny

8. What other elements of the festival experience can we and other festivals implement to satisfy you and help you further your filmmaking career?

I think it’s important to connect with international talents , my first film is almost produced in local and I feel it’s hard to source creative talents in this direction .

9. You submitted to the festival via FilmFreeway. How has your experiences been working on the festival platform site?

This is amazing ,although it’s my first time submit festivals but I think the idea is great to have a freeway connect to all the festivals in the world

10. What is your favorite meal?

Chinese Hotpot

11. What is next for you? A new film?

Of course will developing a new one . Also want to wait a bit for the AI rising and see how it can help in filmmaking , traditional pipe line might be changed very soon .
