Beau, having lost a leg in the Civil War, stumbles out of a cattle car at the little Nevada town of Nemesis. He’s taken under the wing of Mr. Pettigrew, partner in the Angel Saloon and given a job sitting shotgun. Pettigrew kills the son of a powerful mine owner and Beau is drawn into the trouble. It’s two against twenty.

It’s a classic western feature film with a huge character arc, protagonist about to the end of the trail ends up owning a saloon and bawdy house.

Adapted from my novella of the same name, written in a week, rewritten a few times.

Children, grandchildren, wife, filmmaking, photography, hunting, fishing, life….

12. What influenced you to enter the festival?
What were your feelings on the initial feedback you received? I’m a great believer in a hook in any kind of writing, first scene in a screenplay, first sentence or at least paragraph in a novel or even non-fiction work.
