Matthew Toffolo: What is the general theme and tone of your novels?

Omar Farhad: First off, I want to thank you for allowing me the opportunity to speak with you. My novel is political in nature. My intent was to point out the failures of the United States government and its policies regarding Afghanistan. In some ways, I feel the novel, that I wrote four years ago, has predicted what is currently happening.
